The Phones on the Bus Go “Ring Ring Ring”

My friend has a theory that people dislike cell phones in public areas because they’re nosy and annoyed by their inability to hear the other person. I disagree. I’m annoyed by the increased volume. Usually visual cues let the speaker know the listener can hear. The phone doesn’t provide those.
